Zooz ZSE19 Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren featuresThe Zooz Z-Wave Plus Wall Siren offers a lot of features in a small package. The Zooz Siren is an ideal choice for those looking to automate and monitor their home from a distance. It’s a Z-Wave Plus device that can be used to monitor temperature, humidity, and sound an alarm. Plus, it really looks good so you dont need to worry about not fitting your home’s sleek design!

The siren is easy to install and very reliable, and it is compatible with popular Z-Wave hubs such as HomeSeer, Hubitat, Fibaro, and Vera. The sensors provide temperature and humidity readings for smart climate management.

The Z-Wave signal frequency of the Zooz siren is 908.42 MHz, and it’s equipped with the latest authenticated S2 security protocol for encryption and hacker-proofing. However, the software with which you can customize your alarm sound really looks old like a Windows 98 type of design :).

How Does Zooz Z-Wave Siren Work?

Zooz ZSE19 Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren 2

The alarm can be triggered by a variety of different events, such as opening a door or window, or it can be manually activated. To make things even better, it is possible to upload your own custom audio files to the siren. The battery life is also quite good, and after a year of use, the batteries were still at 15%.

The pairing process may feel like a bit of a hassle for some who have a Hubitat controller, but overall it’s a relatively easy process. One of the downsides that was reported by one of the owners of the Zooz siren is that the back cover tended to come off easily.

Zooz provides fast and responsive US-based support for set-up, functionality, and automation routines. The siren do not work with Wink, Ring, ADT, or other Z-Wave alarm panels.

Also, an owner of the siren reported that It would randomly chime anywhere from 1 to 10 times when triggered using the latest HA, on the 1.4 version of OZW (which does not have the Sound Command functionality, which is their preferred trigger).
